RELEASE DAY IS HERE!

Release day is finally here! It's been almost 3 years since I started to write this book, and now it is finally out there in the world. I am so happy to finally be able to share this story with everyone, but I'd be lying if I didn't say I was also absolutely terrified. As an author, you put so much into your book; it feels like it's a part of you. It can be scary to be vulnerable and bare your soul to everyone like that. Even still, I wouldn't change my decision for anything. Thank you so much to everyone that helped me along on this journey. I appreciate each and every one of you. I hope you all enjoy The Girl with Blooms in Her Hair!

ARC Readers and Sprayed Edges

It's been a while...oops. A lot of things have been brewing--mainly me learning yet another new skill in the book publishing saga. But! That means that the sprayed edges I was hoping for are now a reality! And aren't they just gorgeous?
I am STILL working on attempting to get paperback pre-orders running here, but it seems more and more that it may not be a possibility. The main issue I'm facing now is having actual available stock. I would hate to have someone pre-order from me and then not get the book on time because of a stocking issue. Basically, it takes FOREVER to get author copies printed and shipped to me. Add to that doing sprayed edges on the books BY HAND, and it's gonna take a while.
I do have a small stock of books that should be arriving in the next few days, but most of them have already been promised to local bookstores in my area. I will, however, be making the sprayed edge version of my book available on my site. So, if you want the super pretty version, you've either got to find it in a local bookstore, or get it here. The regular version of the book will still be available on the 'zon, though.
ALSO! ARC readers! I need some!
Originally, I hadn't been planning to do ARC readers, but as the release date draws closer, that FOMO has kicked in. SO! If you would like to be an ARC reader, head on over to Book Sirens to download a copy of the eBook.

It has been a very busy past couple of weeks.
First off, I finally received my proof copy! Wow, did I cry when I opened that package up. I wasn't expecting to shed actual tears, but it has been such a journey and to finally hold my book in my hands was really something.
While there were a couple of formatting issues that needed to be addressed, they've been taken care of and I am awaiting a new proof copy. The online preview looked good, so I'm hoping that this will be the last proof copy needed and that I can start printing author copies next.
I've been working on getting my book into some local bookstores, and plan to reach out to additional indie bookstores that aren't so local. There's also recently been the idea of a launch party at one of my local bookstores, so I'm looking into that too.
I'm also toying with the idea of making a few special edition versions, but we'll see if that's something feasible for me.
I'm still working on making paperback copies available for pre-order. Please be patient! I've basically been waiting to get in a final copy of my book so that I can do some mock packaging and see how much it would actually cost to ship to people. There's also still the issue of having an online store front. There are a lot of options available, and I'm actively looking into them.
Finally, if you missed me a couple weekends ago at the Irwindale Renaissance Pleasure Faire, then you'll get another chance to catch me at it this weekend, on May 3rd. I'll be roaming around the fairegrounds with several of my bookclub members. Please feel free to come up and say hi--please don't let my RBF dissuade you.
I think that's all of the updates I have for now. There's a lot in the works, but most of it is all still in the beginning stages. We'll get there, though!

Did I forget to do an official cover reveal? Maybe--but that's okay. It's been a very busy past couple of weeks. I made a website (finally), finished final edits, formatted my manuscript for paperback and ebook, and on top of everything, I've been in a pretty nasty flare-up. But I persist! And now I'm doing a soft-reveal of my book cover.
I've had this cover almost since I started writing the book. It's gone through a lot of changes over time, but I am so happy with the final look.
Aside from officially unveiling the cover, the book is also available for pre-orders!!! (Ahh! Is this actually happening?!) At this time, pre-orders are only available for ebooks, but I'm working on figuring out how to make pre-orders for the paperback available for you guys.
That's it for now. Like I said, it's been a busy few weeks, but I'm still not done. There is so much happening all at once!
