It has been a very busy past couple of weeks.

First off, I finally received my proof copy! Wow, did I cry when I opened that package up. I wasn't expecting to shed actual tears, but it has been such a journey and to finally hold my book in my hands was really something.

While there were a couple of formatting issues that needed to be addressed, they've been taken care of and I am awaiting a new proof copy. The online preview looked good, so I'm hoping that this will be the last proof copy needed and that I can start printing author copies next.

I've been working on getting my book into some local bookstores, and plan to reach out to additional indie bookstores that aren't so local. There's also recently been the idea of a launch party at one of my local bookstores, so I'm looking into that too.

I'm also toying with the idea of making a few special edition versions, but we'll see if that's something feasible for me.

I'm still working on making paperback copies available for pre-order. Please be patient! I've basically been waiting to get in a final copy of my book so that I can do some mock packaging and see how much it would actually cost to ship to people. There's also still the issue of having an online store front. There are a lot of options available, and I'm actively looking into them.

Finally, if you missed me a couple weekends ago at the Irwindale Renaissance Pleasure Faire, then you'll get another chance to catch me at it this weekend, on May 3rd. I'll be roaming around the fairegrounds with several of my bookclub members. Please feel free to come up and say hi--please don't let my RBF dissuade you.

I think that's all of the updates I have for now. There's a lot in the works, but most of it is all still in the beginning stages. We'll get there, though!
